John Mayer waits for an answer with “Tom and Jerry”
John Mayer has kept quiet as a solo artist for five years, and now he is back. “Tom and Jerry” is his first single since 2021’s “Wild Blue”. The title has nothing to do with the cartoon classic: it is simply the name Mayer gave the first voice memo of the song idea, and it stuck. The song is about waiting for the emotional answer of a loved one you would run away with in a heartbeat.
That makes “Tom and Jerry” this week’s Senile Hitwucht. Catch it in “Senile Bettflucht” with Matuschke, Monday to Friday from 6 to 9 am, and scattered throughout the rest of the Feelgood FM schedule. Early risers hear it first.

I only listen to Feelgood now! It’s simply the best radio station.
You make my day!
My life finally has a soundtrack! Thanks for the constant good vibes, the songs I can groove to in the car, and the beats that even make my Mondays dance.
