As Global Head of Cultural Engagement at the BMW Group, Prof. Dr. Thomas Girst is not only responsible for the automotive group’s cultural projects worldwide, but is also – despite working for an employer synonymous with speed and technical precision – an advocate of taking your time. ‘All the Time in the World’ is not only the title of his book published in 2019, but also represents his attitude towards cultural partnerships, personal growth and project development – true to the motto ‘Good things take time’.
Stadtlocke talks to a cultural manager who, in over two decades, has not only worked with major contemporary artists and realised world-class projects, but also reveals a very unique perspective on personal development, social processes and individual responsibility.
