Saturday at the Sugar Daddy’s: Christian Angerer

He was a DJ at Sugar Shack, a presenter at Radio M1, a producer of radio and TV commercials, and for several years now he has been an extremely successful photographer who has made a name for himself in advertising, portrait and fashion photography with his unmistakable cinematic visual language. His works look like frozen film scenes – powerful, atmospheric and full of narrative depth.

Angerer stands for visual storytelling at the highest level. Whether intimate black-and-white portraits or elaborately staged campaign motifs, each image conveys emotion, character and a clear dramaturgy. Instead of excessive retouching, he deliberately focuses on authenticity – wrinkles, shadows and genuine expressions are not flaws for him, but part of the story.

He realises international productions in cities such as New York, Paris, Barcelona and Cape Town, combining classic photographic craftsmanship with a modern, cinematic aesthetic. His work is created for renowned brands and agencies and moves confidently between art and commercial demands.

Christian Angerer has received numerous awards for his imagery, including at the Cannes Lions and from the Art Directors Club (ADC). He has also received international recognition as ‘Photographer of the Year (Germany)’ – proof of his creative signature and consistent quality.

Christian Angerer stands for strong lighting, precise staging and images that have an impact far beyond the moment – photography that not only shows, but tells a story.

On Saturday 28 February from 8 p.m. as a guest of Doctor Feelgood.
