live from Hamburg. Two hours, no formula.
Tea Time
Axel Schruhl between freestyle and time travel.
Just like Hi Noon on Fridays, this show also comes to you from Hamburg, but on Wednesdays, Axel Schruhl takes control. From 14:30 to 16:30, he brings variety and surprise to Feelgood FM’s afternoon programming: clever, unexpected, and always with a touch of charm.
The first hour is completely freeform. No theme, no rules, just whatever fits the moment. Axel draws from decades of rock, pop, indie, soul, and beyond. The second hour takes a more structured turn: a random number drawn the week before determines a year, and that year becomes the soundtrack. Whether it’s 1982, 1997 or 2009: some familiar, some forgotten, and some right in between.
Axel’s style of hosting is relaxed yet informed. He shares insights, background stories, and musical connections without overexplaining. No filler, no chart filler, just good music and a presenter who knows how to frame it.
What makes this show stand out is its mix of spontaneity and structure. While anything goes musically in the first hour, the randomly drawn year in the second half creates a kind of sonic time capsule. Suddenly, you’re hearing forgotten radio hits, genre-defining debuts or tracks that have quietly regained cult status – and you realize how much a single year can reveal about taste, trends and sound aesthetics.
